Find talent

The room is half of it. The person matters more.

A great room with the wrong engineer makes a worse record than an average room with the right one. Legacy lists producers and engineers as people you can look up, read about and approach — not as a phone number the studio gives you on the day.

People with profiles, not names on a rate sheet

Producers and engineers have their own public pages: what they do, where they are, the genres they work in, their credits, and reviews from the artists they have worked with.

Engineers can list certifications and specialisms; producers can list credits and, on Pro, their rates. It is the information you would ask for on a first call, published up front.

  • Filter by role — producer, engineer or artist
  • Credits, specialisms and certifications on the profile
  • Reviews from people who actually worked with them
  • A verified badge where identity has been checked

Send the brief, not a cold DM

Every profile has a hire form. You describe the work — how many tracks, roughly when, what you need — and it goes straight to them as an enquiry, with your message attached.

It lands in the same inbox they use for everything else, so it does not get lost between a DM request and an email filter.

Or find them through the studio

Plenty of engineers work out of a particular room. Studios list their team, so a room you already like can be the way you find the person, rather than the other way round.

Both routes end in the same place: a conversation with the person who will actually be at the desk.

Questions artists ask

Does it cost anything to contact a producer or engineer?
No. Browsing profiles and sending an enquiry are free for artists. Any fee is between you and them, and Legacy takes no part of it.
What is the difference between a producer and an engineer here?
They are separate roles with separate profile types. Producers list credits and can display rates; engineers list certifications and specialisms. Filter to whichever you actually need.
Can I see what they have worked on?
Where they have filled it in, yes — credits with the artist, the role and the year, plus reviews from previous clients.

The right room is out there. Go and find it.

Searching, saving, enquiring, booking and reviewing are free for artists — and stay free.
